International Doggie Style Fashion Show

Doggie Style Fashion Show

The International Doggie Style Fashion Show at Hotel 1000 Seattle on June 10, 2011. This is a show that you do not want to miss!

We challenged the hottest upcoming designers from the Art Institute of Seattle to create designs from around the world with a “Doggie-Style” twist by incorporating miniature pooches INTO the apparel. Everyone in attendance scored each of the designs on the runway. The winner of this fashion show will receive a Scholarship to further their career in the Fashion Industry.

Connecting Borders has partnered with High Maintenance Bitch for this show. HMB is the most publicized pet brand for exclusive luxury items for pets and is famous for their hit series on Bravo and Animal Planet and have been a sponsor of the Golden Globes and Emmys since 2004. This event will be filmed as part of High Maintenance Bitch’s upcoming reality show.

This show featured DJ David Lowe and Experience Sound Systems, creating an international energy with funky, deep, electro and progressive vibe to drive the show.

About Connecting Borders Foundation:
Proceeds benefit Connecting Borders Foundation ~ raising money for the Azul Wasi Orphanage in Oropesa, Peru. There are 12 boys living at the orphanage. We learned of the plight of Peru’s orphans six years ago and have organized local donations and made multiple visits to help these children in need in what is South America’s 2nd poorest country. At the community center in Cusco when a child was asked what his perfect home would be like responded, “it would be a blue house.” The name Azul Wasi combines the word Azul, Spanish for Blue and Wasi, the Quechua (pronounced: ketch-waa) word for house. Quechua is the language spoken by the indigenous people of Peru.
